Force for tearing an arm off?

Couldn't say, we'd need the distance the work is being carried out on. And I haven't the foggiest idea of where that distance would be measured in the arm joints.
I guess it depends on exactly where the arm is being pulled. I would say around the length of the upper arm, which I believe is what the university used instead of the radius of the arm.

This would be a force applied over a distance of 20cm, so...say if it took around 25,000 newtons of force to rip off an arm, the force applied over 20cm would be 5,000 joules of work (Solidly into Street level)
Of course, this is also a pretty small arm as well, an average arm is probably easily into Street level+, possibly Wall level.

I also measured the length of my arm from shoulder to elbow and got 23cm, which seems consistent to the PDF. So the 20cm from the PDF seems to be the length of the upper arm rather than the radius.
