Not against this but doesn’t the character needs to consistently or shown multiple cases of 4th wall awareness? If not it could be argued that he was just referring to what saitama said without actually knowing what he meant, I could be wrong though.

That may be true, but that's how Saitama received the 4th Wall Awareness. He's also showing a 4th Wall Awareness here, regardless of what Saitama said.
