I like Bloodborne's take on the trope cuz while the game is a power Fantasy if you're good enough at it, and thus hard subverts Lovecraftian horror, it's difficult enough to the point that there's some debate as to whether it actually is power fantasy.

Also, anytime Dante clowns the everloving hell out of a God-tier demon lord is a good time
