Funnily enough, Sonic.exe can also do both of those also. However, he probably doesn’t know how to use the knife. Since Sonic is bloodlusted here, he can try to use his spin attack and (likely) superior LS to disorient Dino, which seems to be Child Sonic's MO if episode 11 is anything to go by.

Dino has the same thing though... I'm guessing the spin attack is a stat amp like canon Sonic, and Dino can react to stuff faster than himself so I think he could deal with that.
