Explosion Yield Formula question

So I was planning on fixing some old calc I did since I have the area for it now, and while I was calculating, I noticed something. On the explosion yield calculations page, it says this:
W = R^3*((27136*P+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2, where W is the yield in tons of TNT, R is the radius in meters, and P is the shockwave pressure in bars, which you can see more about below. For this specific formula, there is no need to divide the result by 2.

However, on the references for common feats page, Destroying the Surface of the Earth calc uses the normal formula W = R^3*((27136*P+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2, but Destroying a Continent uses W = R^3*((27136*P+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2/1000000.

So I'm curious why the destroying the surface of the Earth uses the regular formula, but destroying a continent has /1000000 in the formula?

Same reason why the Airburst formula has /1000 I presume, A Megaton is 1000 Kilotons so removing it gives a result of Kilotons instead (and putting *1000 gives a result in Tons of TNT).

With this logic and knowing the standard formula gives the result in Tons, the formula in the the "Destroying Continent" calc is giving a result in Megatons.

I see, so it depends on what is TNT value is used then. Since the continent calc using Megatons, it is divided by /1000000 in the formula where as the Surface of the Earth uses Tons of TNT and doesn't need to be divided. I think I'm understanding it right?

Seems like it. The normal formula just gives out a value in tons of TNT, which you then go through the efforts of converting to other units.
