Bakugo has a decent AP advantage, and without the speed advantage I don't see what Spinel brings to the table here. It ultimately seems like a melee fighter with a flexible body vs explosions, she has no kit to do anything here. Dynamight takes thism

Spinel's movements aren't going to be worse for him than Serpenters, and he was going against both of them. Her Rejuvenator is basically worthless here so she can only rely on her physical strength. While she has the Lifting Strength to restrain Bakugo, she can't prevent him from just blowing her up with an explosion.

He should be able to adapt to her weird method of fighting pretty easily. He's mostly a mid to long range fighter as well, and he has superior ranged attacks since he can fire off explosions in a burst. Spinel does have heat resistance so the heat from his blast may as well not exist. But their actual impact is still going to hurt her.

Her biggest advantage would be her proofing/regenerating, Bakugo isn't going to see the gem as something to destroy when that happens. She can get a sneak attack in when his guard is down if she plays it right, but I don't see her being able to finish the fight in that case.

The second time she poofs Bakugo's just going to break her gem. The more he fights the more powerful explosions he can unleash as well, since he'll sweat more.

Voting Bakugo for superior AP/Dura, better ranged/AOE attacks with his explosions, and the experience with dealing people that have somewhat similar movements.

Her upscaling isn't enough to jump that high in a tier. Bakugo is without a doubt stronger in this case, just not by a massive amount.

Her "skill" is mostly based on a cartoony fighting style that confuses her opponent. Not only has Bakugo fought people who have a somewhat similar ways of moving around and fighting. But he's a mid to long ranged fighter, Spinel's advantage is made less by the fact he is never trading physical blows with her.

He's going to fly around and blast her from a distance. Which she lacks any good answers for. Her stretching/giantizing her limbs aren't as good as the multiple rapid blast that he can spam at will. Basically machine gun fire that can actually hurt her.

Not that being close would help either, since he can just release a massive AOE blast that she can't dodge.

Yeah her upscaling doesn’t mean much when Bakugo is so much higher, can’t just presume she’s like 4x stronger than her value.

And her skill is, like Rusty said, not something Bakugo can’t deal with. She confused the CG’s first fight but then got kinda man handled in the second one to my recollection and she doesn’t have the years of fighting experience they have.

Didn’t they handle Spinel in their second encounter way better? That could very easily have just been a case of her fighting style being foreign to them rather than her being a skill god. Having even thousands of years of experience doesn’t mean you can account for or handle everything thrown your way in a fight by an unknown opponent.
