The word had been destroyed, one landmass after the other. North Africa has been blown to smithereens, Spain was gone and so was Cuba in its entirely. The entire world was sort of standing on a knifepoint, and it'll either fall off or become the sishkebab that the universe is gonna feed on. With that being said, there was much depression in the world. Some lived in fear of what would happen next. They needed something to light up there world and to push their way through this dark and dreary existence.
And this would be where Stephanie steps in. A girl from a different world, a different time, where things were not as advanced and things were not as much of a hellhole as they are now. Whisked away from her world, she was gifted with powers that she could barely comprehend, and memories that were anything but hers. She was in a new world, and everything about her was new.
The twelve year old woke up on an island in the Caribbean. Aruba, to be exact. At her side were several items. A giant key, a sword, and a paintbrush. As if guided by an outside force, Stephanie picked them up and stored them on her person, sheaths forming to accompany her. She didn't know where she was, but she knew how to find out, and that was to fly straight up.
Like a bullet, she took off into the sky, moving so quick that she set off a sonic boom shortly after departing, parting the trees and making the water around the island ripple. Everyone near the island would hear her, most definitely. She took off high into the sky, until the island was a little dot, and only then did she stop to look down at the land below her. She didn't know how she could fly, or how she got from Texas to what seemed like a tiny little island, but a part of her just said not to question that. At least not yet.
The thought would then occur to her to look around this new world she found herself in, and perhaps she'd be able to meet others like her. Were there others like her? Perhaps there was only one way to find out. So, taking off at speeds faster than light itself, she moved around the world to see if there was anything of interest.
