"I'd like to study more about the sandworms."

Code:
"Ah-h-h-h, to be sure. I've a filmbook on a small specimen, only one hundred and ten meters long and twenty-two meters in diameter. It was taken in the northern latitudes. Worms of more than four hundred meters in length have been recorded by reliable witnesses, and there's reason to believe even larger ones exist . "
Code:
A medium worm (about 200 meters long) discharged into the atmosphere as much oxygen as ten square kilometers of green growing photosynthesis surface.
Code:
Sandworms grow to enormous size (specimens longer than 400 meters have been seen in the deep desert)
Sandworms from Dune are most certainly far above 8-C. In the novel, a character, Dr. Yueh, said that they grew up to 450 meters long.

They can regularly outrun humans if I remember right, and the Kinetic energy of them just moving at a regular speed, would, according to this blog would put them between Low 7-C and High 7-C.

So, I think the AP should be changed to "Varies between Small Town level+ to Large Town level depending on length (Specimens can range between 200 and 450 meters in length. Can swallow entire factories whole and prevent even the technologically advanced civilization on Arrakis from making settlements near them)"

Well if its up to 450m, you should probably clarify somewhere that this applies to the largest ones only.

I did, though. 450 would be High 7-C and their average would be Low 7-C+, which I specified in the OP.

As long as there is a calculation for their kinetic energy, I suppose that this should be fine.
