Contextually, I don't think 10x is inconsistent with the sheer difference they've blatantly shown between having the mark and not having it.

I'm fine with 10x if they explicitly say it's an order of magnitude higher (I'd need a Translation Helper to confirm that.)

I'm definitely not okay with 100x based on Tanjiro's statement. He's not that reliable to begin with.

Since I'm avoiding spoilers beyond the anime, I did not read the section of the OP marked as a spoiler, and will also now unfollow this thread to avoid being exposed.

My vote can be considered to be valid so long as the translation isn't debunked.
If there's vital information which may sway my vote and is a spoiler, then consider me as abstaining from voting entirely, otherwise message me.

and 100x multiplier is a bit vague since the statement could simply imply tanjiro going far beyond his limits to kill gyutaro rather than literally getting 100x amp on his ap

Order of Magnitude in VSBattles is typically accepted as 10x

From Wikipedia: "In a ratio scale based on powers of ten, the order of magnitude is a measure of the nearness of two figures. Two numbers are "within an order of magnitude" of each other if their ratio is between 1/10 and 10."

That is to say, "being an order of magnitude higher" is commonly understood as being somewhere between 10 and 100x higher.
Since it's not elaborated on, we take the conservative estimate of exactly 10x.

As I understand it the same wording was translated as ‘an order of magnitude’ in those cases. Basically just common support for a certain translation. Although I’m no expert in Japanese.

Alright noted. Thanks for your input. Is the multiplier able to be applied to the current accepted scaling chain or would it need a separate crt.
