Can anyone explain the story to me? It was confusing what actually happened after Jon reset the timeline.

Well, every changes he made were undone. Legions and JSA came back. And a Superman for Watchmen universe was also present. He is being raised by Jon. Jon has changed being inspired by Superman and giving him hope. So, he is no longer just a bystander. Proven when he talks with the guy in the motel. You know the actor. In short: Superman has the biggest plot armour ever. He is preserved by the Multiverse. Everytime there is a need of hope there will be a Superman.

I wonder how that ties into the totality event. The multivetse wants superman yet the creator of the multiverse and 1/3 of her sons don't give a crap about him.

The concept of a Superman upholding hope will always persist.

Manhattan kinda retconned the New 52 Reboot, making it Earth-52


Pre-Crisis Earth 1 becomes Earth-1985 after the COIE. Not sure what this means for New Earth or Prime Earth.

I think they gave us hints about future reboots and crossovers.

2020 Perpetua Crisis

2025 Time Master Crisis

2030 Marvel Crossover?! Hulk officially stronger than Doomsday?

With how crappy western comic sales are, marvel and dc doing another crossover might not be the worst thing.

I hear ya but what does this mean for firestorm/ ronnie? I hope they commit going this route and make Stein a full blown villain. Would also be key in flipping Killer Frost since he's apparently responsible for her too.

After finishing Doomsday Clock. I probably could anchor for Superman to get his Type 8 Immortality back or even Type 1 Non-Dimensional .

It's more of a reason why the Multiverse keeps getting rebooted. It's not an innate ability of Supeman. It's the concept of Superman as shown by the Thought Robot.

Does this mean Rebirth isn't combined with New 52 anymore?

That's a good question. We wouldn't have gotten to this point without new 52 and rebirth but Manhattan did reset the universe which I beleive changed the multiverse. Or did he change the multiverse? Either way, I think universe 52 is sorta a 'what if' rebirth never happened. I wonder where it technically leaves off? Like before Darkseid war, are Clark and Diana still together, etc. Shazam being the god of gods was never addressed either.

Manhattan put the lantern back which should have prevented New 52 stuff from happening. Clark's parents are back alive now too.

But didn't he say something like Flashpoint and its rebirth? Maybe its that after new 52 combined Rebirth a separate reality Earth 52 was created to preserve new 52 Superman

History of the Metaverse:

Earth-2 and Earth-1 are formed, followed by the rest of the infinite multiverse.

Earths S, X, 4, 1, and 2 are merged into a New Earth

New Earth then grows into 52 Universes.

Manhattan moves a lantern and causes New 52 history.

In Convergence, Brainiac stops the COIE from happening, saving the infinite multiverse. This multiverse is somehow separate from the current New 52. Earth-1 is now Earth-1985.

Rebirth occurs.

Earth-52 is New 52 with a living Superman.

Manhattan moves the lantern back.

I think that is why there is Earth 52. Superman of that world died but the Multiverse retconned his death to form Earth 52.

I see. Although I read somewhere Dr M transferred his powers to the child he raised before undoing his own creation
