In " The Call of Cthulhu" there were many death with physicians unable to find any visible disorder.
* The narrator's grand-uncle. Although he had no dreams of Cthulhu or R'lyeh, was found dead after quite some time studying Cthulhu's scuptor and data.
* Two experienced sailors died out of pure fright merely at the sight of Cthulhu.
* Second Mate Johansen, who was able to drive his ship right into Cthulhu, was dead after some year, with apparent no known cause.
* The narrator himself concluded that he, too, would perish soon after amassing such knowledge.
