Discolored Lightning?

Should discolored lightning disqualify said lightning as just electricity? This came to my attention the other day when it was brought up in a RWBY thread (green lightning, I think it was). Astral Chain is currently being limited to Supersonic instead of Massively Hypersonic+ simply because the lighting in said dodging feat was purple. I just thought I'd bring it to light since I wouldn't doubt that other verses may be affected like this as well.

Huh, i swear the lightning feats page said something about the color of lighting when using it for feats but i can’t find it now

I don't know why Lightning would be rejected for being an exotic color, It's not like it can't be purple

A lot of depictions of lightning/electricity in fiction are bluish or purple. It's just a popular color to use for it, AFAIK.
The lightning feats pages already details what needs to be satisfied for a lightning-based attack to count as having lightning speed (conductivity, effects on flesh, etc.)

So how would the calc get revaluated? The calc was approved but it included a low end (electricity) and a high end (lightning), to which the latter was denied by the reviewing calc member.

Would I just make a CRT and list the reasoning for why it should be lightning?

I have seen cloud to ground lightning in fiction being white, yellow and even sometimes RED, colour should not be a factor.

Maybe. Or just in the discussion threads if the CRT isn't too big. Like, just link the lightning feats pages and argue that the lightning feat in question satisfies enough of the requirements/justifications/similarities to IRL lightning that it can be counted as lightning speed average.

It's far more important that lightning acts like lightning, rather than that it looks like lightning.
Especially purple, that's a pretty popular depiction.

here is the lightning in question in case anyone was wondering. It appears multiple times in the fight from here on out as well.
