DIO VS Passione

If Cal can make these kind of matchups, I can too.

This is DIO VS Giorno, Bruno, Mista, Narancia, Fugo, Trish and Abbachio.

DIO has no prior Knowledge about the group and Passione knows how The World works, but not that DIO is a vampire and all that entails.

Battle takes place where Golden Wind final battle took place at night, the starting range is just far enough that DIO can't time stop and kill them all at once.

If DIO can go into his High form from drinking Giorno's blood, then he starts at base, if not then he starts at High form.

Alright so DIO might save Giorno for last given there's a likelihood that he'll know that's his son. Iirc DIO needs to drink blood of the oldest living Joestar so he won't be able to give the golden succ to Giorno. Which means he'd start in awakened.

Abbachio is useless here other than to serve as cannon fodder. Narancia and Mista are next to useless. They can do minor damage at best with their bullets and Narancia's tracking won't be helpful as DIO has no reason to hide. The real threats are Giorno, Bruno, Fugo, and Trish.

Trish will only be useful for defense, as she can make anyone survive a blow from Dio. Fugo's The only instant win button as Purple Haze's gas would kill Dio, time stop or no. Giorno and his acceleration punch would allow the gang to get their necessary blows. And Bruno can spatially separate Dio. Giorno and Bruno can also work as healers depending on how serious the wound is.

The problem is, The World is The World. Time stop is almost impossible for them to get around without either a sneak attack DIO's overconfidence coming into play. And even beyond that, The World is physically stronger than all their Stands. The only one capable of a sneak attack is Bruno via zipper portals, and if Dio notices him, or god forbid kills him, there goes that option. Their best hope is using Spice Girl to make one of the expendables squishy to take blows while Bruno zips himself or Fugo to catch him off guard. It's not impossible given Polnareff caught him off guard. The thing is, I don't expect any of them except maybe Abbachio to sacrifice themselves, and I don't see any of them letting them each other take the fall. So unfortunately, I don't see them doing enough before DIO stops time and kills them en masse.

Giorno may recognize DIO as his father but DIO has no way of recognizing Giorno or any of his sons.
Actually, they would. Relatives can somehow sense each other in JoJo, like how Diavolo could sense that Trish was her daughter (and viceversa) and Pucci being able to sense Joestars.

That's not a in-universe rule, it's something that started happenimg since Part 5. Pucci's Joestar-Senses are hilariously contradictory with many things about DIO.

Aerosmith can keep track of DIO and outrange him from afar, Bruno can zip him into various pieces and Giorno can daze him from a bit from that life giving punch from the start of P5.

It mostly depends on who stays alive after the first time stop. Fugo kills DIO, Trish should be able to keep up with regular punches with the world and Abbachio is a non-factor, but can serve as donuting material for DIO to waste a time stop on.

@Eficiente

Actually, stand user familily members have been strangely connected since Part 3, where Enya was able to tell that J. Geil was dead.

Aerosmith is useless because Dio is 8-C and because bullets just don't work against Vampires, let alone against one with a Stand who can deflect them with the greatest of ease. Mista is just as useless.

If Bruno tries to get close, Dio Time-Stops and donuts.

Purple Haze's range is crap, and we are also not counting the fact that Dio may be undead, thus the virus that specifically only works on living beings may not work.

Trish and Abbacchio are useless unless they try to trick him in some way, for some reason.

The only way I can see Giorno being useful here are the accelerated senses, healing, and maybe if he tries to use his Life Manipulation in clever ways.

If anything, this battle would be far more exciting if the Requiem arrow was around.

Dio is technically not undead, Vampires in JoJo are humans with their potential awakened. Anyway, I think DIO takes it. There are counters to him, yes, but He can just stop time and kill them all. Though I could argue it's not in character for him to do that, he at least always cripples his opponents when stopping time. He's also surprisingly cautious, so PH probably wouldn't work, especially since he might be able to sense the virus with his superhuman senses. Giorno could do something crazy, and Dio would probably try to convince him to join his side or at least talk to him, which would give him the time to pull off some trick. But overall, DIO takes this more often than not.

Dio is not dead like Bruno was. Vampires breathe, eat, feel pain, an can be disabled by destroying their brains.

DIO is also cocky, and he will only kill one or two in time stop at most depending on how passione is organized.

Do we know where the members are? If they're all in one room, they might have a chance.

EDIT: NVM, they're right outside the Coliseum. Uh, still, how close are they?

They're far enough from DIO that he can't kill them all in the first Time Stop

It's also in the OP

I mean, DIO can just run up to them and do it, but in character he'd just gloat at them, perhaps ask Giorno to join him. Still, he wouldn't allow them to attack him. The question is, who would he go for first?

Probably Narancia, unfortunately, since his personality makes it likely he'd be the first to attack and has the type of personality DIO would likely find annoying.

Also, again, Narancia outranges Dio. Bullets do work on vampires, Dio just regenerates out of them and has to waste a time stop doding aerosmith. Case in point, to win, passione must lose 2 or 3 members to allow Giorno and Bruno to zip Dio apart and accelerate his senses until he stops moving or is incap'd till morning.

Narancia outranges Dio yes, but he can just deflect the bullets with the World, he could then use time stop to kill him. Same thing for Mista. And it's not OOC for him to start by killing the person attacking him. Remember Dire? so, Dio would not just let Bruno or Giorno hit him, when his stand is superior to both of them in power, and he's not dumb anough to take on both at once. Dio may be cocky, but he was very careful against Jotaro, whose stand was, at least before getting timestop, definitely weaker than those two.

Dio is indeed cocky, he spent 2 time stops just trying to figure out if Jotaro was actually able to move in his time stop.

That's true, but only because Jotaro's hand twitched. If he sees nothing, then, maybe after one timestop, he won't worry about that anymore.
