Digimon Revision: World Restart Edition

First Digimon CRT on the new forum, and it's a big important one. Time for power downgrades and hax upgrades.

AP Revisions​

So this is something I've been noting for awhile now. Basically, we've all agreed that the Tier 4 and 3 feats that Digimon currently scale to are iffy at best and simply not legit at worst.

Executor N0 puts it into words best, "The reason is that the old "Tier 4/3" reasoning for Perfect and Ultimate level Digimon was or Pocket Dimension Feats or very "not really valid" feats like black holes. Some of the feats still are legit, but they are very few, goes far beyond the expected to that level and we just have far more feats and good scaling if we decided to downgrade the Perfect and Ultimate level to Tier 6 and 5."

So with that out of the way, here are the new stats for the Ultimate Digimon who are currently "At least High 4-C, possibly 4-A".

• At least High 6-C: Ultimate level Digimon should be astronomically superior to Devimon who could split File Island apart.

Now for Mega Digimon who are all currently "3-C", they will be downgraded to;

• 5-B: Mega Digimon should be at least comparable to Ebemon who is capable of destroying entire planets.

Baby Digimon Speeds​

So this is a sudden one, however the logic behind this upgrade in speed is that Baby Digimon are consistently depicted and noted to be able to react to the attacks of predators in which at the very least would be Rookie Digimon as such their speeds should be rated as such;

Unknown with Massively Hypersonic+ reactions (Can react to attacks from higher level predators which should at least include Rookie Digimon).

Holy Power and Darkside Power​

As according to this blog by Executor N0, all Digimon will be getting a nice hax upgrade.

Conveniently Ex also made two other blogs to lay out the abilities granted by Holy Power and Darkside Power. These abilities will be added to the Digimon Physiology page by the way.

Holy Power Abilities:

• Light Manipulation and Holy Manipulation: Any Holy Digimon has control over Light that opposes Darkness and uses it in nearly every single one of their attacks;
• Healing, Regeneration, Resurrection and Life Manipulation: In Digimon Light is a representation of both Existence and Life, so the attacks used by Holy Digimon have the power to oppose the erasure and death of Darkness and cause the healing, regeneration and even resurrection of erased Digimon;
• Can affect Nonexistent Physiology: The Holy Power is used directly to fight against Darkness, that is non-existence within the universe;
• Purification and Empathic Manipulation: Holy Power is capable of purifying the darkness that exists in the heart and bring back gentle and positive feelings;
• Empowerment: As Light is born from good intent, the power of a Holy digimon grows along with its own positive feelings;
• Reactive Evolution: As Light is in fact the essence of Evolution, any Digimon uses the Holy Power in order to grow and evolve;
• Resistance and nullification of Darkside Power: The Holy Power is the natural opposite of the Darkside Power, strong enough Holy Power is capable not only of resisting against Darkside Power, but also negating its effects. In fact, most of the powers showed here are direct opposites of the Darkside Power.

Darkside Power Abilities:

• Darkness Manipulation and Unholy Manipulation: Any Darkside Digimon has control over Darkness that opposes Light and uses it in nearly every single one of their attacks;
• Existence Erasure and Death Manipulation: In Digimon Darkness is a representation of both Nothingness and Death, so the attacks used by Dark Digimon have the power to kill and erase everything they touch;
• Nonexistent Physiology: Dark Digimon are in fact "Non-Entities", they have been deleted, erased and removed from the world and are now part of a void of nothingness;
• Absorption: It's part of Darkness' nature to always be absorbing the environment in order to grow bigger;
• Corruption, Empathic Manipulation and Mind Manipulation: As Darkness covers everything it touches, it corrupts any existence into a new Dark Existence corrupted with the instincts of a Virus Digimon full of ill intent and negative feelings;
• Empowerment: As darkness is born from ill intent, the power of a dark digimon grows along with its own negative feelings;
• Resistance and nullification of Holy Power: The Dark Power is the natural opposite of the Holy Power, strong enough Dark Power is capable not only of resisting Holy Power, but also negating its effects.

Some things to point out is that not everyone who uses Darkside Power is nonexistent, only those made from Darkness. Another thing to point out is that not all Digimon use Holy or Darkside power in character, so keep an eye out for the Notable Attacks and Techniques to see if the Digimon has a Light or Dark attack in their arsenal (whether it be a base skill or inherited skill).

Due to this, all Digimon Powers and Abilities sections will have these things on it: Digimon Physiology, Holy Power, Darkside Power.

Conclusion​

Ultimate level Digimon: At least High 4-C, possibly 4-A -> At least High 6-C

Mega level Digimon: 3-C -> 5-B

Baby Digimon Speed: Unknown with Massively Hypersonic+ reactions.

All Digimon: Gains access to Holy Power and Darkside Power.

This should be everything for this revision.

Since when are pocket dimension feats no longer valid ?
Also, for the black hole, there's no way it wouldn't be 3-C if it's the size of a galaxy, like it's sheer mass alone would be enough for a 3-C rating

tldr: black holes in digimon don't work like real life black holes

Digimon Black Holes wouldn't have any mass seeing as they are just Darkness (this is mentioned in the blog). But even then, the wording is more poetic and less talking about the size of the actual black hole. And the other Black Hole feat was like High 5-A, which is also no longer legitimate. Wendigomon's feat even if legit would be an outlier for Champion Digimon and Dimension with a Star feats would preferably need more evidence to prove they're legitimate. This at best leaves Digitamamon's 4-A feat which is iffy at best and Vademon's star busting feat which is an outlier.

This is explained in the blog. All Digimon have both light and darkness. In particular, Holy Digimon who have a high levels of Holy Power just as equally have high levels of Darkside Power as it's a balance. The question is whether they would use it in character. Once again, everything is mentioned in the blog linked.

Question: Okay, so Holy Digimon can resist Dark Power, and Dark Digimon can do the same with Holy Digimon. But what about the Digimon that aren’t Holy Digimon? How can they simply not be erased by darkness every time that a Dark Digimon appears in a fight ?

Answer: This is an interesting question. The answer is that in a way, every Digimon is a Holy Digimon and a Dark Digimon at the same time. “Light” itself is simply the most primordial source of “Good”, but everything that exists and every single Positive Feeling has the same effect as the original Light, it can be used to nullify Darkness. Holy Digimon are simply Digimon that show a great amount of Holy Power (Marked by looking like an Angel or due to the use of a Holy Ring), but literally every Digimon has both Holy and Dark powers. The very fact that a Digimon evolves is proof that it can use the Holy Power, since Evolution is at its core simply Holy Power. The same with Darkness, every Digimon contains both Light and Darkness and so, any Digimon can in a way resist the power of Darkness and Evolve. The biggest example are the “Virus Busters”, not all of them are “Holy Digimon” (But some of them are), but much of them are “Vaccine Digimon” that uses their sense of justice (Vaccine Energy) in order to destroy the “Spirit of Darkness” that exists within every single thing in the world, even among the Vaccine themselves. And this isn’t exclusive to the “Virus Buster” or even the “Vaccine”, they are simply the ones with the sense of justice to use that power for the “greater good”, literally every Digimon has that.

Question: Can Holy Digimon like the Angels use Dark Power ? And can Demon Digimon do the same ?

Answer: Going from my previous answer, then you know that the answer is “yes”, but there’s a good point here. As I said, Digimon is about the constant fight against Light and Darkness, and the Holy Digimon are ones with great amounts of Light Power and via the “Light = Darkness” thing that I said above, they also have great amounts of Dark Power with them. The fight now is of control. Darkness is filled with ill intent and Holy Digimon in fact are full of them, so they need to control it. If they can’t control that power, they’ll fall into Darkness becoming a Dark Digimon. The bigger the light, the bigger the darkness, and since Darkness is the power used with ill intent, if a Holy Digimon used a lot of “dark power” this would make the digimon to be corrupted. It’s not that they can’t use it, but it is something against their nature and if they use the power, they will “cease to exist”. You could say the same with the Dark Digimon, but in a different way. Holy Power is that of Justice and Good, and even if the Dark Digimon also have an inner “holy power”, they simply normally aren’t beings that fight for justice and goodness, and so using Holy Power goes against their nature. And this is what makes Digimon like Mastemon or Lucemon Falldown Mode very powerful, they can control both Light and Dark powers without losing control, and being at the same time agents of creation and destruction. Other Digimon may be able to do the same, but it’s simply against their nature.

I will note that while this revision has been accepted, the profiles were also already in the process of being reworked with the new Digimon profile format. So it will take awhile before every profile is reworked as we are doing an overhaul for how Digimon pages are set up. Otherwise, this will be closed.
