@Dark. Fun fact. In my series,there's a stark difference between a faerie and a fairy, with the former being the revered one. Given that one of my MCs is the latter, it doesn't sit well with him.

Even though they're effectively the same thing, I always considered Faeries more revered, archaic, vague and powerful beings, while Fairy's are more juvenile, down-to-earth and weak in comparison.
I really like the idea of all powerful magical creatures like Faeries and elder Wizards.
