Destroying earth's size continent

If someone destroy a continent which more than 40,000 km length,is that consider as planet level feat or not?

Fragmenting a Earth sized continent would result in 8.665*10ˆ27 J, that is High 6-A+ (This is assuming that the destroyed mantle is made of the same element of our Earth).

Well it depends on a few factors. Biggest would be the surface area. A continent with a length of 40,000 km doesn't tell much (fragmenting a continent with a surface area of 40,000 km^2 isn't even Small Country level). Using the entire surface area of the world.

Using the entire surface area of the world with a low ball depth (Elevation of Bhutan, which is 3.2 kilometers) yields about 1.3 * 10^25 J, which is Continent level+ using basic fragmentation, so I'd go with Antoniofer's value.

No, it wouldn't be since a gravitational body/field isn't being dissable/destroyed, it just an amount of rock of Earth volume being destroyed.
