Demon Slayer downgrade

Hello everyone,

for my first content revision, i want to bring up something from our pages for Demon Slayer. we have the characters as all resisting water manipulation because their uniforms protect them from water, fire, and cold. i want to remove this power because of the fight between Muichiro and Gyokko. Gyokko has the power to control water, and he easily defeats Muichiro with this ability despite him having a uniform on at the time.

my point is essentially that even though the uniforms may be waterproof, this isn't something that would matter in a fight, as it doesn't show the ability to protect the user from actual water attacks. so it shouldn't be counted as a resistance.

Disagree. The manga also quite clearly states that the uniforms cannot resist the attacks of a Kizuki despite being armored against lower level demons, and the fights all clearly align with that sentiment. Does that mean that we should remove that as an ability for the uniforms? No, because it’s a feat for the Kizuki and not an antifeat for the uniforms. Same thing here for the waterproofing, it just means that Gyokko’s water is strong enough in pressure or volume or whatever to overcome the uniform’s water resistance.

he doesn't overcome the water resistance though, he just surrounds muichiro in a water bubble. why would it being waterproof matter against directed water attacks, or other forms of water manipulation? it should at least be made limited resistance instead of just full resistance

The uniforms are more accurately stated to “repel” water, so they would be effective against certain targeted water attacks, Gyokko’s isn’t one of them considering Mui was surrounded at all sides by water. And it doesn’t matter how weak it is, we still put it in because it’s noteworthy considering we put flashlights as light manipulation. There’s nothing limited about it either imo, but if enough people agree then it isn’t a hill I’ll die on since I can see the logic

if we count flashlights as light manipulation i guess it's fine that it stays, but i do still think it should still be counted as limited if that's the case
