There’s all of your Bowsers getting harmed by lava, incapacitations by falling, and the usual “Oh no, there is a wall blocking this path!!! Our verse has dozens of feats that would account for us being able to break this wall, but in order for the plot to occur this wall blocks us!!!” shit. That’s just off the top of my head, and all of these types of anti feats are very common in fiction IMO, and more common in many non Mario verses but because of this people just cannot believe in the possibility of tier 5 and above base Mario.
It was brought up in a CRT that gave the verse multi continental, If I remember correctly, it was from the OG version of Bowser’s Inside Story, and the remake portrays what happened differently that caused it to either not work as a feat, or gave it a lower value. That combined with the anti feats caused it to not be applied to the base cast.
Went back and checked just to be sure but the calc itself was deemed fine since it mostly came from the statement of Dark Bowsers darkness covering the entire world, someone brought up the remake portraying it differently by everyone agreed it was still fine to use (Think the only downgrade from the remakes portrayal was it not sealing away anyone which would remove Bowsers resistance to sealing). Main issue was the fact it got moon level to small planet level results whereas the other feats we were working with were barely baseline multi-continent level and as of this moment, the Dark Bowser stuff is the only tier 5 calc / feat we currently have accepted for base level characters.
Weird cause with the same logic of these anti-feats you could argue the mario verse shouldn't even be wall level, like the whole blockade thing is clearly for plot convenience. Why do these anti-feats specifically halt the verse from going above Tier 6? Is it just because there's only the one Tier 5 feat currently?
