He was capable of outsmarting other geniuses and create a unsolvable scenario

Creating an unsolvable senerio isn't an example of genius. I could offer up thousands off the top of my head. And, outsmarting other geniuses just means that you are slightly smarter than them, or you caught them by surprise. Some of the smartest people in the world can be outsmarted outside their comfort zone.
