Current Deku vs Tomura Shigaraki

It's gonna be awhile before we get a real fight between these too, but I'm curious enough to make it now.

Curren't, Post-Gentle Izuku vs Current Shigaraki. So Deku starts at 8%, but can go above.

Speed unequal to make things interesting.

Both know as much about eachother as they already do in canon.

Both are in character

Victory via any means.

Battle takes place in a street near UA.

Who wins and why?

One smash would turn Tomura into a blood splatter. The AP and Speed difference is just too much for Tomura to handle since it's victory via any means.

Deku doesn't lead with a 100% smash, especially after the whole situation with Muscular. And turning someone into a blood splatter is insanely out of character for Deku.

You said yourself in the battle description "Victory via any means." If you want to discuss in character, then you need to be a tad bit more specific when you say by any means.

Current deku could probably knock him out with compressed air to the back of his neck since Deku knows that if he touches him he would die because of his quirks hax. Gotta go with deku since he has the range and strength to make small things like pebbles and finger flicks stronger.

The real kicker here is that Tomura's quirk is only useful at CQC. Deku and Tomura have comparable hand to hand skills with Tomura having the edge in tacticality. However, Deku's physical advantage would be enough to knock out Tomura in a few blows. Overall, I think Deku takes the win here.

I'd vote for Deku, based off massively higher speed, far more than enough to blitz Shigaraki.

The problem with Shigaraki is his lack of feats to use in a battle. He's gotta some good speed showings and all, but barely had any REAL fights.

The Databook does classify him as an S level criminal, which only Stain and All For One carried that in the same book, but makes difficult to see it when the character hasn't shown up anything to put him at such high level. Deku and Tomura will duke out in the future, but until that happens, Midoriya has far better feats and win here.

Shigaraki will most likely inherite AFO some day, but as for now, Deku has better feats.

Deku is not faster. Tomura lept up with Aizawa + moved too fast for Deku, Atsui and Mineta to even see.

Deku is better at CQC, but Tomura is smarter and faster. Deku needs to land several blows to win, Shigaraki needs to land one.
