Cujo is nothing to scoff at. He took a beating from a baseball bat and even survived getting impaled by said bat.
However, Steve's bat in particular staggered a demogorgon who is a 9-B. Imagine what it'll do to a 9-C like Cujo.

Well Cujo seems to have the stamina advantage and has bodily weaponry to use against Steve.

None of which matters when Steve has the range advantage and can stagger him with every hit. Someone even said that he'd get oneshotted by the bat and that Steve even without the bat would still win.
