Countering an Argument

How would you counter this argument? I'm debating with someone about Mario and Sans, and I have no clue what to explain this as:

"If KtQ is moving that fast, then everything is supposedly moving near the same speed... including the cannon balls that are rolling around in the same level, and the goombas (I get the same argument about the "five minutes until Namek's destruction" bit, you'd have to account for EVERYTHING being the same progression of speed, even things that cannot possibly go that fast!)."

I know that's flawed, but I don't know how. Can someone help?

So what I'm getting is someone is saying the cannon balls, the goombas and everything are moving at around the same speed as Mario?

Also who's KtQ?

He's talking about Koopa the Quick. I'm on the side saying he ran at Mach 1, and that's the guy's argument against it.
