Composite Ryu?!?

So I noticed Ryu is a featured character on the taskbar tho he doesn't have a composite page. Yet he has pages for his other incarnations like power rangers and asuras wrath. So I decided to do some research and........ oh boi

First off, we already know about his power ranger and asura's wrath incarnations so those can be included. The street figther page makes note of the udon comics not being canon but since that doesn't matter anymore are there any feats? Even tho most of the cast doesn't get much, outside some interesting speed feats, the top tiers however are much more powerful.

However, I don't really have a way to scale this thing properly and it did still take it's sweet time landing despite moving at re-entry speeds and already looking really big in the sky. Though that could also be comic panels being comic panels.

Still worth noting since this was with one pyrokinethsis projectile and shin ryu (yes thats a thing) later delt with and much more powerful version pretty easily

Shin ryu also jumped to australia in a short timeframe, I'm sure someone can calc that.

Also SVC Chaos has a comic. (and it looks great but scans are super rare) I have some myself and they are in english but only Vol 1 & 5 and neither of them have any crazy feats for ryu. Although its scaling is.....odd to say the least.

Project X Zone has some stat buffs

Ryu has stared in alot of things from mobile games, movies, and...you what, here, this has all the cross over stuff we'd need. (at least I think)

Now the last thing I want to mention.....MvCI has a story mode, and in it is something that needs discussion, (I'm suprised no one has brought it up before) Thanos steals ryus dark hadou and leaves with only that becayse thats "all he needs" despite previously having a TIME STONE. He even directly compares the two and calls the TIME STONE a pebble..... A 4th dimensional object is a pebble to his dark hadou.... And other versions have completely mastered his dark side...Even outside of that thanos is impressed with it's power and he broke the reality stone and gave ultron sigma a hard time (also implied to kill death)

I'm sure some of the other crossovers mention on that page I linked have more feats but I made this thread to start a disscusion since usually these threads end up getting alot more info than the initial post that started it so if ya find anything (even if it's minor) then plz mention it.

Composite pages for other SF characters would be nice too since I was originally going to make this thread about Akuma (and he's got even more wacky stuff to play with)

If anything at least this will make some pages for the other versions of ryu that exist

This still dosen't exclude the alternitive versions of ryu that don't have a page and are well known among fans and general public like udon comics, v anime, or manga.


Hell guile has a live action movie profile and the us cartoon shares canon with those versions of the characters, so does the movie video game. (man that thing was weird)

Ryu is a featured character yet until recently the only profiles he's had were his main canon and asuras wrath.

even then the only thing that was added was his power rangers apperance, which I guess is a start.

with how many other versions exist I'm extremly suprised this hasen't been brought up before.

We don't give away Composites to characters with multiple canons. Did you read the page Ant linked you? There are absolutely no reasons for Ryu to get a composite profile when he has a singular, primary canon and a bunch of non-canon Spin-offs.

Also, the Asura's Wrath version of Ryu should probably be deleted to be honest.

Also why do you keep talking about the feature characters? Not only is this irrelevant, but only around 4 characters are actually composite there.

this thread was for two things, a composite page and/or pages for notable versions that don't currently have one

We don't need pages for every single adaption of Ryu elsewhere. Unless these versions are different enough, but that's rather unlikely. Like I said, our page for Asura's Wrath's version of Ryu doesn't really make sense with our current rules so they should probably go.

Not every version of ryu, just the ones that separate themselves from the main games

at the absolute least udon comics should get pages or a page. we've already noted it being different on the verse page and I've already showed that he works differently in combat

It's food for thought that I feel shouldn't be overlooked

But composite ryu does indeed have some tier 2 feats in MvCI and Project X Zone

And, i dont wanna argue against the rules, but hey, its not like the wikia is going to run out of space or anything.


I would just let people have their composite Ryu profile around since it wouldnt bother me at all.

It isn't about space. It is about not encouraging our members to create lots of unnecessary profiles that eventually create a mess, simply because they want their favourite characters to be as powerful as possible.

Just saying, if anything, merging Asura Wrath Ryu into the Composite Ryu profile would actually clear up the mess imo.

No. We won't make any exceptions for Ryu over any character with multiple non-canon interactions just because someone wanted it.

I can agree with merging Saitama's profiles, or Pannacota Fugo's, since they are of the same canon and storyline continuities. However, these are separate canons and don't need the same treatment as they are fundamentally different characters. Its like creating a common DIO page.
