Close-Range Tourney Match 2: Brad Armstrong vs Kyoshin

Brad's only reliable option seem to zone Kyoshin with explosives and fireballs, because if Kyoshin gets in melee range, he'd just cut Brad down, since the latter doesn't seem to have neither the skills nor the tools to deal with him.

Looks like 12.9 megajoules vs 12.4 megajoules so relatively even
The feat Brad scales to is done rather early on, and he gets considerably stronger over the course of the game. Brad can further increase his strength with Joy and if we go by game stats, it multiplies his AP and dura between 2 to 3x.

Brad invented an entire martial arts style, and those taught to use it are by far the most efficient fighters in all of Olathe. He has beating champion-class wrestlers in direct combat and has used his style efficiently even against armed opponents, from swordsmen to gunslingers, even with both arms chopped off at the shoulder. So fighting a swordsmen isn't anything new for Brad.

Brad also can tank slices, gunshots and powerful strikes with little impediment to his fighting ability and can still fight with efficacy even while on fire, poisoned and under other status effects. This is without taking into account his healing items

Kyoshin learns martial arts for his entire life and is capable of defeating martial arts masters like Kensei and Shaolin, the latter of which is able to teleport, grapplers like Shugoki while deflecting their attacks, as well as gunslingers like Pirate, arena fighters and brawlers like Centurion.

Kyoshin can pretty much tank the same pain and has active debuffs that will heavily debilitate Brad as well, not to mention he can use attacks to heal himself so even then Kyoshin can simply last longer even from range. So Adam from afar can range spam but Kyoshin can easily dodge that given he scales to heroes who can dodge flintlocks point blank, and up close, Kyoshin has way more versatility with his debuffs, life leech to last longer and bleed that bites through dura, as well as his paralysis that deals damage as well as grants Kyoshin a free hit. It doesn't matter if Brad can do the same given that most For Honor heroes are able to more or less endure grave wounds, fire, and other status effects and still fight with full efficacy.

Brad is definitely the better unarmed fighter and is more than skilled enough to confront Kyoshin on a direct battle. He has beaten multiple people at once even with both arms chopped off at the shoulder, could learn other styles and incorporated their teachings just by reading their scrolls and has defeated Rando, an expert martial artist who became a feared warlord in spite of his peaceful nature, despite the fact Rando could casually stab through his chest

Brad has a degree of healing with his items, has a lot more range with his fire and explosions and has his nasty stat amp. Even at the lowest speeds, Brad could dodge several gunshots at very close-range, from several targets at once, and move at similar speeds to bullets. His martial arts techniques let him recover Stamina in the middle of a fight, Brad's regen should take care of the bleed status effect and Kyoshin's other skills and more esoteric abilities can either be resisted or cured through items that Brad does usually carry.

Kyoshin could clear scores of men, and is comparable to the Orochi who's been described as a match for one hundred. For Honor heroes in-verse are able to take on multiple enemies and kill scores of soldiers who can harm them. His reactions scale way higher than his base speed, even further increased by his Kaze Stance, where he can deflect attacks from multiple enemies at once. Kyoshin can deal damage and last an equal amount longer with his own healing.

What's more, Kyoshin still has options to get free hits in with the Smoke Bomb that debilitate even other enemies with advanced senses or high pain tolerance, and his Summoning Spikes that paralyze Brad for a free hit. Fear Itself doesn't directly hurt Brad's stamina but how he recovers it, and his defenses take a massive hit. Kyoshin already can fight heroes who can withstand stabs and cuts, so Brad being able to shrug them off doesn't hurt him.

Brad may be able to last a good amount of time, but I don't really see him getting attacks past Kyoshin's Kaze Stance as well as his dodge centric moveset that's difficult to catch, designed to be both incredibly hard to hit because he can either counter incoming strikes with a crushing counter attack that deflects his opponent's for a free hit, or deflect it away with Kaze Stance, and this works for a lot of attacks regardless of how strong or how much weight is put behind them.
