So this is a spoiler warning to those who haven't seen episode 1 of the anime and who haven't read Volume 4 of the novel. But if you have or just don't care about
Cid Kagenou was once a person named Minoru Kagenou in his past life. He died at the age of 17 (in the novel, 18 in the anime) in a truck accident. In his past life, he went under the allies as "Fancy Hoodlum Slayer" (Stylish Ruffian Slayer in the anime) and gained the name of "Ski Mask Berserker" (Balaclava Berserker in the anime) from when he spent his nights brutally beating bikers gangs he would later beat bandits later on. He would use a crowbar as his melee weapon that he used as a tonfa baton and a club. Later on, a night when he saved his classmate Akane Nishino, he defeated her kidnappers with a crowbar. He was able to go toe-to-toe with a former military soldier when he was using a crowbar as a tonfa baton before he got the upper hand by using the crowbar as a club.
