Causality Manipulation and Acausality

Acausality on this site is defined as being removed from cause and effect, while Causality Manipulation is controlling cause and effect. Now from what I've seen, we assume acausality means immunity to causality manipulation. This doesn't make sense to me though. Being removed from cause and effect is pretty powerful, after all if the cause is getting hit by an attack, the effect is taking damage, and being removed from that would make one practically invincible.

For example:

Someone hits you with a sword (cause) - you get a limb sliced off (effect) - except I'm acausal so the cause doesn't affect me.

Someone uses an existence erasure attack on you (cause) - you are wiped from existence (effect) OH WAIT I'm acausal so that cause doesn't affect me.

etc etc.

So it seems to me that the only way to fight Acausality is with causality manipulation, by forcing them back into the normal system of cause and effect (or your own system).

Thoughts?

Eh... not exactly.

The effect you described only applies to beings who exist throughout time and space and can thus jump in from another timeline should something happen to the version from the current timeline.

Otherwise, Acausality is basically just immunity to Causality Manipulation from my understanding.

The Superpower wiki from which our acausality page is based on says it can be overrided by high end causality manipulation

It is?

Because it shouldn't be.

(Referring to the idea of it being based on the superpower wiki)

@Monarch Laciel

Being exempt from the laws of cause and effect entirely means that no amount of causality manipulation can affect an acausal being.

And yes, we shouldn't be basing our pages on the Superpower wiki if at all possible.

I mean... There are varying degrees of acausality. Causality manipulation on a higher plane won't care about 4d acausality.

@Promestein

As is the case with almost every case of a higher-dimensional being dealing with a lower-dimensional being.

Yes, I'm just saying because I've seen people get confused about it and argue that Acausality renders you immune to all causality manipulation.

@Promestein

Indeed, so it might be best to refine our definition to mention that it's immunity to causality on that level of existence.

I think that this seems to make sense.
