Carnage Revision

I previously posted a thread where I put forth that Carnage (Marvel Comics) should be updated to include the feats and powers displayed in Extreme Carnage, Carnage (Vol. 3), Carnage Reigns, and Death of the Venomverse. In retrospect I should've posted that in the CRT forum to begin with, but I'm new here. With that in mind, I was told to create a revision thread here, so that is what I am doing.

Extreme Carnage (Cletus Kasady)
  • The result of Cletus Kasady's "codex" indwelling the Extrembiote—a fusion between an Extremis-mutated symbiote dragon and an Iron Man Model 70 suit (Sources: Extreme Carnage: Omega; Carnage (Vol. 3) #11)

  • As a symbiote dragon, the Extrembiote should scale to all the feats associated with the Grendel and its ilk (e.g being able to rip through defensive spells cast by sorcerers as powerful as Dr. Strange (Source: Black Cat (Vol. 2) #1), adapt to anything that doesn't kill them (Source: King in Black: Black Panther), pass through vibranium-powered force-fields, and fly at speeds fast enough to outpace the Silver Surfer (Source: Silver Surfer: Black #2, #5)—albeit while Norrin is in a greatly-weakened state), as well as the Iron Man Armor Model 70 or Stark Sentinel Mark II depending on what it's merged with
  • Attack Potency: At least City level, if not Planet level—should scale to the base Extrembiote's stats, if not Dark Carnage's and/or the Grendel's; is said to be equal in power to God-Butcher Carnage at the time of Carnage Reigns and Web of Carnage.
  • Speed: Unknown, at least Hypersonic—should scale to Dark Carnage's stats
  • Lifting Strength: At least Class K—should scale to base Extrembiote & symbiote dragon feats
  • Striking Strength: At least City level—should scale to base Extrembiote & symbiote dragon feats
    • Strong enough to tear through Mark II Stark Sentinels modified to combat the Extrembiote (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #14)
  • Durability: At least City level—should scale to base Extrembiote & symbiote dragon feats
    • Survived the assimilated Iron Man armour's RT Node/Arc Reactor being overloaded by a Venom Strike from Spider-Man (Miles Morales), which created an explosion powerful enough to turn a diner into a crater, with Carnage being at ground zero of the blast (Reference 1, Source: Carnage Reigns Alpha)
    • After merging with the Stark Sentinel Mark II, could withstand and absorb Miles Morales' full-power Venom Strike (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #13)
    • Kept up with and tanked attacks from the Scorpion, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Taskmaster, and Electro (Francine Frye) -- whose powers are identical to Max Dillon's (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #14; Reference 2 & Reference 3, Source: Miles Morales: Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #7)
    • Iron Man—whose Dragonslayer Armor was created for the express purpose of slaying the Extrembiote--blasted him with everything his suit had, requiring Miles to recharge it with his Venom Strike, and Extreme Carnage got back up like it was nothing. (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Miles Morales: Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #7)
    • Can withstand being blasted by Iron Man and Iron Spider's Repulsor beams (Reference 1, Source: Carnage Reigns Omega)
    • Tanked an Iron Spider-augmented Venom Strike from Miles and said it tickled (Reference 1: Source: Carnage Reigns Omega)
    • Took a Hail Mary plan from Iron Man flying his Dragonslayer Suit into the Extrembiote's chest and using it as an EMP (completely draining its arc reactor in the process) to defeat it, but even then a piece survived and was able to regenerate (Reference 1, Reference 2, & Reference 3, Source: Carnage Reigns Omega)
  • Intelligence: Average, same as base Carnage
  • Stamina: Superhuman (Should upscale from base Carnage)
  • Range: Extended Melee Range; Several to Hundreds of Meters with tentacles, tail, and RT Node blasts
  • Standard Equipment: The Extrembiote; Iron Man Model 70 armor (formerly, destroyed); Mark II Stark Sentinel (formerly, destroyed)
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Mind Manipulation/Possession:
      • Cletus can use a fragment of Knull's power he inherited from Absolute Carnage to impose his will on other symbiotes, corrupting and even outright controlling them (shown below are the Carnageized versions of the Scream, Agony, Phage, Riot, and Lasher symbiotes), though it's possible for the symbiotes and/or their hosts to resist. (Sources: Extreme Carnage Alpha; Extreme Carnage: Scream; Extreme Carnage: Agony; Extreme Carnage: Phage; Extreme Carnage: Riot; Extreme Carnage: Lasher)

      • Can use the Extrembiote to read people's memories via a sample of their blood (Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #8, #11)
      • Mind-bombed the Rascal Symbiote (which is an offshoot of Eddie Brock's Bedlam persona and should thus be more powerful than the average symbiote), causing it to become more feral and aggressive as a result (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #24; Reference 2, Source: Red Goblin #6; Reference 3 & Reference 4, Source Venom (Vol. 5) #25)
    • Duplication: Can create duplicates of himself (Reference 1, Source: Carnage Reigns Alpha)
    • Shapeshifting:
      • Can merge the Extrembiote with buildings and reshape their interior at-will (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #8)
      • ("Complete change of appearance" subtype): Can shapeshift himself or his duplicates to resemble other people (Reference 1, Source: Carnage Reigns Alpha)
      • Can transform into an armoured symbiote dragon (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Miles Morales: Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #7)
    • Energy Manipulation:
      • Can create plasma constructs using the RT nodes on the assimilated Iron Man suit (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #13), and coat them in symbiote matter to augment them further (Reference 2, Source: Red Goblin #5)
      • Can fire energy beams from his mouth powerful enough to slam Iron Man and Miles Morales into the ground hard enough to crater it (Reference 1, Source: Carnage Reigns Omega)
    • Hacking:
      • When powered up, can hack into Stark Industries' communications network (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #13)
      • Can broadcast a signal that turns anyone who hears it into a bloodthirsty berserker under Cletus' control (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #13; Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #14)
    • Technology Manipulation:
      • Can infect people with offshoots of the Extrembiote, which can merge with technology to create cyborg symbiotes under Cletus' control (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #13; Reference 2, Source: Miles Morales: Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #7)
      • Can assimilate other technology into the Extrembiote—replacing the damaged Iron Man Model 70 armor with a Mark II Stark Sentinel (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #13)
God-Butcher Carnage
  • The Carnage symbiote resurrected by assimilating a piece of the Grendel symbiote dragon, imbuing it with some of Knull's power (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Sources: Web of Venom: Carnage Born)
  • Attack Potency: High Hyperverse level
    • Tore the Spot to shreds (Reference 1, Reference 2, & Reference 3, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #3)
    • Easily massacred the surviving dwarves of Nidavellir. (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #9)
    • Fought evenly with Knull (though Knull wasn't using the full extent of his power) and instantaneously healed from being cut in half by All-Black (which can slay gods per Gorr the God Butcher and Knull's feats); withstood being blasted with a beam of Necro-Power without injury; though they took time out to kill Captain America (impaled by Carnage's arm-blade), Magneto (decapitated by Knull using All-Black), Thor (cut in half by Knull using All-Black), Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Clea the Sorceress Supreme (all one-shot by being impaled by Carnage's tendrils) (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
    • Decapitated a symbiote-controlled Celestial with a single slash after growing to match it in height (Reference 1, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
    • Killed Knull with a single stab from All-Blood, absorbing his symbiote (All-Black the Necrosword) and powers (Reference 1, Sources: Death of the Venomverse #5)
    • Effortlessly defeated over a dozen Venom variants & related symbiotes (pictured: Venom Dreamstone + Symbiote Spider-Man (Eddie Brock), Silence (Andi Benton), Agent Anti-Venom (Flash Thompson) -- who is himself bonded to a symbiote-dragon and capable of fighting with eldritch gods like Set, Gwenompool (Gwen Poole), Life-Model Venom (Eddie Brock Life-Model Decoy), Venomized Jeff the Landshark, Kid Venom (Kintaro), Venom Noir (Eddie Brock), Venomsaurus Rex (Eddie Brockiosaurus), Chaos Engine (???), Black Fang (Dilann), Host Rider (Robbie Reyes + Spirit of Vengeance), Necroko (Ellie Ellison), and Major Leagues Venom (Ed Brock); not pictured Asgardia (the daughter of Agent Venom and Valkyrie; wielding a Necrosword and Mjolnir), and a battalion of Venomized Valkyries); killing almost all of them with little-to-no effort. (Reference 1, Reference 2, Reference 3, & Reference 4, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
  • Speed: Infinite to Immeasurable
  • Lifting Strength: Stellar to Immeasurable
    • Restrained and subdued Hydro-Man despite him being made of living water (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage Forever)
    • Should scale to Knull
  • Striking Strength: High Hyperverse level up to High Outerverse level
    • Able to fight on-par with Knull and decapitate a Celestial with a single blow (Reference 1, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
  • Durability: High Hyperverse level up to High Outerverse level
    • Fought and defeated a somewhat-weakened Malekith the Accursed with low difficulty and extracted his Venom/All-Black codex (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #7)
    • Laughed off a fire-blast spell cast by the latter
    • Dipping its tendrils in molten Asgardian metal caused it discomfort and pain, but no actual harm. (Reference 1, Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #10)
    • Survived being engulfed in the plasma of magical stars used to smelt uru and imbue divine weapons with planet-destroying power for a prolonged period, though it caused the symbiote extreme pain and would've ultimately killed it; heat described as capable of melting entire planets (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #10)
    • A weakened Morlun tried to eat Carnage thinking it was a totemic avatar and burnt his tongue, calling Carnage an embodiment of death and destruction. (Reference 1, Source: Web of Carnage)
    • Regenerated from being spattered by a grenade custom-made to kill Earth-31's Venom, declaring itself immune to fire and sonics thanks to All-Blood. (Reference 1, Reference 2, Reference 3, Source: Web of Carnage)
    • Regenerated from being cut in half by Knull using All-Black (Reference 1, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
    • Withstood being blasted by a beam of Knull's Necro-Power (Reference 1, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)

    • Possesses intimate knowledge of Dark Elf culture and interdimenaional travel
  • Stamina: Infinite
  • Range: Extended Melee Range, Several to Hundreds of Meters
  • Standard Equipment:
    • All-Blood the Necrospear—A divine weapon on-par with Mjolnir, Gungnir, and All-Black the Necrosword. All-Blood was intended to have the same properties as All-Black (and was even initially intended to be a sword), and can seemingly negate healing factors (as seen with Venomized Wolverine) and immortality, letting Carnage kill beings as powerful as gods and cosmic entities with a single stab (as seen with the Silver Surfer and Knull). (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #10; Reference 3, Source: Death of the Venomverse #4; Reference 4, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Fate Manipulation (?): Its very existence taints the Web of Life and Destiny, corrupting the strands into tendrils of red and black slime (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #4)
    • Mind Manipulation:
      • Mind-bombed the Rosvelg, a god whose duty is to punish sinners by performing an oratory version of the Penance Stare, driving it insane and causing it to lapse into a coma. (Reference 1, Reference 2, & Reference 3, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #6)
    • Power Absorption:
      • Ripped out Hydro-Man's soul molecule and assimilated it--effects never specified, but seemingly gave it the ability to create red lightning and appears to have augmented its ability to stay in its humanoid form sans host (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage Forever; Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #1, #2)
      • Restrained and subdued Hydro-Man despite him being made of living water (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage Forever)
      • Absorbed one of the Spot's Darkforce portals, letting it access the Spotted Dimension to teleport and create portals (Reference 1, Reference 2, & Reference 3, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #3)
      • Assimilated uru by consuming the corpses of dead dwarves--becoming able to withstand the power of the magical stellar plasma in the process--and used it to create All-Blood the Necrospear (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #10; Reference 3, Source: Death of the Venomverse #4; Reference 4, Source: Death of the Venomverse #5)
      • Contemplated taking Morlun's Inheritor powers for itself, but decided against it after realizing the Web of Life and Destiny was trying to shackle it. (Reference 1, Source: Web of Carnage)
      • Absorbed Powers:
    • Possession:
      • Can infect others with offshoots of itself either under its direct control or indwelled by a copy of Cletus Kasady's consciousness (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #2)
      • Easily killed and reanimated Kilereth, Morveita, Y'Dreis, and Varuen (all Dark Elves and elite members of the Black Bile Clan);. (Reference 1 & Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #4; Reference 3, Reference 4, & Reference 5, Source: Carnage (Vol. 3) #5)

      • Obtained from killing the Spot and absorbing one of his Darkforce portals
      • Used to deflect oncoming attacks
      • Travelled the Multiverse testing and honing its new powers by hunting and killing dozens of variants of Venom, assimilating their symbiotes if it thought they would augment it (including the likes of King-Pain (Wilson Fisk) and a Venomized Bodega Bandit): (Sources: Extreme Venomverse #2, #5; Web of Venomverse Unlimited #3, #4, #7, #8; Death of the Venomverse #1 - #5)
    • Soul Destruction
      • Completely destroyed Space Venom (Eddie Brock)'s codex (Reference 1, Source Venom (Vol. 5) #30)

Both of them.

Ooh. According to this Marvel article promoting Carnage Reigns, Extreme Carnage and God-Butcher Carnage were equal in power... at least at the time it was written, which seems to have been just before Carnage Reigns Omega -- which seems to take place concurrently with Web of Carnage.

Also good luck beating that shit once they merge once again.
The previews show Carnage is back to his classic appearance with no indication of the Extrembiote or All-Blood being involved, but it also shows him tearing through gods like tissue paper, so...

Maybe it's just a choice in appearance? We know the Symbiotes can shapeshift their look pretty much however they want.

True, and Carnage does go back and forth between his regular appearance and God-Butcher form throughout Extreme Venomverse, Web of Venomverse Unlimited, and Death of the Venomverse.

High Uni Carnage is cinema
Considering the Carnage symbiote was corrupting the Web of Life and Destiny -- which maintains the fabric of the multiverse -- even before it obtained All-Blood and got Knull's powers, I'd say it's well above High Uni in scope. I'm not sure where Extreme Carnage or God-Butcher Carnage stand, to be honest. Extreme Carnage was supposedly on-par with God-Butcher Carnage before the latter embarked on its multiversal Venom-hunting killing spree. At this point, God-Butcher Carnage's biggest amp came from All-Blood, which was forged in the same place using the same methods as planet-destroying Asgardian weapons like Mjolnir and Gungnir. After amping itself further, God-Butcher Carnage was shown fighting on-par with Knull, who is tiered at High 1-B... but we never really get to see Knull use his full power in any of his appearances, and as a King in Black he should be on-par with Eddie Brock as the Eventuality (who for some reason is tiered above Knull at High 1-A) given that Eddie's King in Black power came from Knull himself. (Reference 1, Source: Venom (Vol. 4) #35; Reference 2, Reference 3, Reference 4, Source: Venom (Vol. 5) #18)

Even in this instance, Knull wasn't taking the fight seriously and was killed just as he decided to go all-out and use his full power. Carnage killed Knull with a single attack, but it was done using a weapon derived from Knull's own Necrosword, which has immortality and healing factor negation. I thought at first that God-Butcher Carnage either absorbed the God of Light/Enigma Force in order to emulate how Eddie beat Earth-616's Knull (at least in terms of combining the Power Cosmic with the Enigma Force and the power of a divine Asgardian weapon) or destroyed it to prevent it from resurrecting Eddie, but according to Cullen Bunn the Enigma Force ran away after Carnage no-diffed the Silver Surfer.

God-Butcher Carnage now has all of Knull's powers on top of the Silver Surfer's and the others he'd stolen, which should at least put it on par with Knull, if not the current iteration of Eddie Brock as the King in Black. Like Eddie, the Carnage symbiote has all of Knull's power but hasn't mastered it yet, so he should be more-or-less on-par with the current main version of Eddie (if not even greater considering all the powers it has on top of that)... but the current version of King in Black Eddie and his variants/offshoots (Finnegan, Bedlam, Wilde, Tyro, Meridius, etc.) haven't been analyzed yet so I'm not sure where they stand, and consistency when it comes to this sort of thing is a rarity in the comics business.

As an addendum (and to bump the thread given I expanded the last post), I noticed this thread states that Carnage fights the resurrected Earth-616 Knull in Death of the Venomverse (which had only just started coming out at the time the thread was made) as part of an argument that Knull should get Type 8 immortality... but that's not what happens at all. Carnage fights and kills the Knull of an unnamed alternate universe.

Bumping again, and with the coming of Carnage (Vol. 4) we have more feats for the Carnage symbiote:
  • Tearing through soldier gods like tissue paper (Reference 1, Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 4) #1)
  • Creating a clone of Cletus Kasady using the biomass of a prison inmate it devoured. (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 4) #1)
  • Producing a red sedative gas capable of knocking a man out in seconds. (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 4) #1)
Not exactly sure where things go from here, since I can't edit any of the pages.

You should probably go on the walls of staff members who are knowledgeable about Marvel comics in order to get this evaluated. I'd help evaluate it myself, but I have next to no knowledge regarding this topic.
Do you know of any staff members who might be able to help? I'm new here so I'm pretty much flying blind.

OK... and I just say something along the lines of "I'm new here and looking to get this proposed update to Carnage's thread evaluated. Would you be able to help?"

Seems easy enough.
Yeah, yeah, just ask them for evaluation and hopefully you get at least two staff members to comment here, since that's the minimum number of approval required to get this passed.

I think I've done it correctly.
Thats more like it. I'll make a sandbox for him and you can rate them or if you have any objection tell me. then I'll ask Ant to tag staff so they can give their input. and can you give an image of him in form of extreme carnage and god butcher carnage

Some more updates:
  • Carnage (with Cletus Kasady's clone) eating the original Cletus Kasady's brain to absorb his memories and consciousness — Memory Manipulation & possible Soul Manipulation (Reference 1, Source: Carnage (Vol. 4) #3)
  • Carnage (with Cletus Kasady's clone) using the Darkforce to imprison Agent Anti-Venom inside of the Darkforce Dimension — Portal Creation, Dimensional Travel, & Darkness Manipulation (Reference 1, Reference 2, Source: Carnage (Vol. 4) #4)
  • Carnage (Symbiote)—supercharged by absorbing some of Meridius (Eddie Brock)'s power—killing Space Venom (Eddie Brock as the King in Black) by ripping out and crushing his avatar's heart, destroying his codex/soul in the process, later doing the same to Finnegan (Eddie Brock) and Bedlam (Eddie Brock) — Soul Manipulation? (Reference 1, Source: Venom (Vol. 5) #30; Reference 2, Source: Venom (Vol. 5) #32)
  • Carnage (Symbiote) using All-Blood the Necrospear's "power to shatter worlds as easily as a symbiote heart" to easily destroy the Garden of Time — Attack Potency: 6-A to 5-A, though given he already scales to Thor and Knull that's not surprising (Reference 1, Reference 2, Source: Venom (Vol. 5) #32)

No need for the 6-A
