Can these lasers be calced?

Yeah, just because it passed a planet in the background doesn't mean it travelled an interplanetary distance. By this logic if I move my hand through the air, I'm moving it several kilometers in a second
 
To be honest, you'd have an easier time arguing the ships speed can be calculated because it's moving so fast stars in the background are moving. The laser absolutely not. It just passed a planet in the background. Which is far away from the laser beam. It's just perspective.
