Maybe infinity will resist because it'll block. But, Sunshine can negate magical powers. If infinity doesn't have resistance power null, then goodbye.

Not really, the issue that Escanor runs into is much the same as someone like Gojo did where he just has no means to nullify infinity, and without a form of nullification or a way that just works around it, he'd have to try and force Gojo to exhaust himself instead of directly hurting him.

Doesn't really matter, since not only has Gojo been shown to deal with ambient heat without problem without infinity but with it, it would still protect him

every Escanor`s ability would pass infinity without any dif. It was stated and shown multiple times that spells from one who is simply more powerful would dispel spells of more weaker character. As example with Sunshine, Escanor`s Cruel Sun was able to overcome and dispel Estarossa` blackout. Later Mael dispeled night by using Sunshine as well. I dont sure what type of magic was that night (it may be reality warp or time warp, but still). There are more statements and feats from other chars, for example Lancelot said almost the exact same thing to Deathspears (sry if I wrote his name wrong). So, as Gojo scales below Escanor by a lot of tiers, his abilities will just perish in Escanor`s presence

I don't remember cursed energy existing in NNT so without verse equalization it cannot dispel it or be assumed to dispel it
if it is verse equalized then NNT system would also be equalized to cursed energy but afaik in some collaboration with JJK they tried to establish that Cursed energy is truly unique to JJK.

verse equalization domain expansion or domain itself makes for a limited power nullification so Gojo would be able to make a work around for it to make Infinity work even with the whole can be resisted by a higher power due to how in JJK verse even someone with higher cursed energy cannot just simply ignore someone's technique and Sukuna had to find a technique that would work against infinity to even land a hit properly outside domain spam

So, Escanor's normal heat isn't going to be enough to just cook Gojo. I note a number of people saying Escanor's heat affects the soul, I know it looked like it did when Melascula tried to swallow Escanor's soul because that was were Sunshine was 'located' but it burned her while he was a soul rather than affecting her soul directly. Are there other examples of Escanor burning someone involving the soul I am missing?

people dont seem to understand... nnt has affected things without body,affected souls, emotions etc... escanor even has soul resistance due to his heat... and nnt can destroy space via raw power. this is easy for escanor

Yeah no, Escanor's heat is not reaching Gojo if it can't bypass Infinity. The Jogo example kinda makes this super clear

people need to understand a physical object being able to affect a soul does not make that object incorporeal or without physical properties. so it is still subject to physical interference. (A sword that can cut soul but is still made of steel and can only cut like steel physically will not cut things steel cannot cut with exception to the soul it has feat to cut.)
hence it is still a physical object. To gojo infinity still can affect it since it is physical
