Zoro has slightly higher AP.

He's relative to Luffy who was stated to have relatively strong haki, meaning Zoro should be able to at least withstand the soul damage aspect of Black Star Big Wave. Zoro also just generally has good enough endurance to do so.

Zoro is superior in skill and has much more combat experience, however Black Star is no slouch so they should be competitive in close combat with Zoro being able to land attacks like these thanks to his unpredictability. Zoro is also a master as incorporating his blitz attacks into his normal combat to catch the opponents off-guard and follow up with even more attacks toward vitals.

Zoro can coat his swords durability negating properties on them, which allows him to sometimes oneshot characters and objects which could previously tank his hits.

I'll vote Zoro because his superior AP, experience, skill, speed via blitz attacks, endurance, and durability negation would eventually overwhelm Black Star.

Black Star has his speed blitz amps too with Severed Shadow which let him speed past Mifune to the point he could only land a hit on Black Star by tracking his shadows. Speaking of that, Zoro would have to deal with the afterimages Black Star makes to differentiate the real one. All the while avoiding Planet Destruction Cannon and his scarf which could cut through Zoro. Also I’m a bit confused on how Zoro negates soul damage.

I think Zoro being more skilled is a bit debatable outside of swordsmanship. His best feat at this point is learning the rhythm to cut Mr 1. Black Star though was able to overcome Mifune who’s whole fighting style relied on precisely launching swords. In the same fight he dodges swords within a paper’s width and changes to an advantageous stance just because it felt right. Zoro will have a much harder time adapting here with his more basic arsenal and lack of feats like that.

And this is a pre Thriller Bark Zoro. I’d say even then, him having better endurance than Black Star doesn’t seem very likely given Black Star can fight through tens of sword wounds after already sustaining being stabbed through the stomach and foot and having two of his fingers broken. His willpower seems stronger than Zoro’s.
