So, something i noticed in my research of this god-forsaken verse to unfuck it is that the Bendy wiki separates Novels and Games.

Q: "Reaper, isn't that just their choice? the Fandom wiki doesn't do it seemingly!"

To be fair, before the Tweet, all signs pointed to the novel being a canon prequel. There's even a reference to Boris' origin from the novel in Chapter 4

But yeah, the Tweet is a fairly recent thing, and I agree with them being seperated

I kinda feel it is unfair to expect players who only play the games to have to read the books to understand details or climaxes of a story.
