The T-1000 has come back in time to kill the Batman to prevent Bane from losing for unknown reasons.

Batman and the T-1000 are each given a week for research, the T-1000 must then track down and kill Batman wherever he is (they're both in gotham, and cannot leave the city, but they can travel the city).

I'm not sure I see how Batman is getting past T-1000's regen and stamina. Does he have information on T-1000? Like weaknesses? All his weapons and such aren't going to do anything to him and even if it did, T-1000 can just regenerate. If it comes down to H2H Batman is going to be better but he can't kill him and T-1000 has nigh-limitless stamina. If Batman knows he can kill it with heat/acid then he has a good chance. Otherwise, he's fighting a losing battle, imo.

He has a week to research, but he can't just look up the t-1000 wiki page if that makes sense. After the week is up the t-1000 must seek out batman, no matter where he is. Also note that the T-1000 can be damaged over time, as seen in a deleted T2 scene after the t-1000 was frozen.
