Base Reality

Depends on verse to verse, in some cases the reaIity in which most of the story takes pIace is the base, and in some cases the one that the MC starts their journey from is the base reaIity.
If we follow a certain reality at the beginning of a story, but it's afterwards that we see the reality with the main character, the basic reality will be that of the main character? If this isn't the case, if a reality is presented in the past tense and after a while we switch to another reality in the present tense, will the present reality be considered the conventional reality?

WeII, to be cIear, I wiII use an exampIe. We aII know the term worId transmigration from the Isekai genre, right?
Iets say, the MC is in worId X, but then moves to worId Y upon reincarnation. If this act is shown as descension, such as with WorId Y being shown as a game, originaIIy, then we treat WorId Y as teh baseIine reaIity.
However, if the character is described as ascending to a higher worId, we treat the previous worId X as the baseIine reaIity and the higher worId as 1-A.
