Before Andika, the highest level of Laus’ Limit Break let him double his stats. But thanks to the hellish training he’d undergone, he could now multiply them by five. Of course, the recoil of strengthening himself that much was far worse, and if he kept on going past triple his base stats he was liable to kill himself before long. Yet during this last battle, Laus had been constantly using tier six to tier eight Limit Breaks, multiplying his stats by four to five each time. He’d literally been shaving away at his soul to keep fighting. And as a result, even a hundred of the church’s strongest knights constantly using their best healing spells hadn’t been enough to fully heal his exhaustion. Zero Vol 4 p178

Surely they could never even imagine in their dreams that after Kousuke made his clone, put up full powered invisibility and dashed around the great wall, he intentionally used darkness element magic to block the light to make a show of the clones’ appearance! ch 409

Weapons and Forcefield creation:

He can control shadows too!?Thanks to his glasses’ analytical abilities and his own focused analysis, Oscar was able to discern the true nature of the shifting black spears. The demon lord had turned his own shadow into an army of black spears. Judging by the fact that the ring on the middle finger of his left hand was glowing, Oscar deduced that this was the power of an artifact as well.

In response, Oscar summoned his own army of enchanted swords from his Treasure Trove. Following his will, the swords rushed toward the spears. The barrage of disposable artifacts cut through the shadow spears like they were butter. However, rather than dissipating, the spears just reformed. Zero Vol 3 p225

Rasul smiled, his praise coming from the heart. Even though Oscar was occupied with the demon lord’s shadow spears, he was still able to control his Shadow Knight well enough to keep the old general at bay. As an artifact user himself, Rasul was quite impressed by the variety and utility of Oscar’s artifacts. Zero Vol 3 p227

Next, Miledi summoned a spear packed with three Azure Blazes and fired it at Rasul as well. Narrowing his eyes, the demon lord poured more mana into his barrier. At the same time, he activated his shadow manipulating artifact, the Void Ring, and had his shadow wrap around his barrier to strengthen it. His barrier was now strong enough to withstand attacks that could raze entire castles, but even that wasn’t enough to stop Miledi. Zero Vol 3 p331

Gou Heat wave rampaged fiercely. The flame spears lost their shape, whirled, and converged into one point. Their scorching red color turned white and then moved to azure. The azure flame whirled as though to protect Hajime and herself from the surging enemies. Before long the flame formed a shape. SS 2 Ch3

Vandre turned to Naiz and fired its breath in his direction as well. The two Chimeras and the old general who’d been fighting him leaped back. However,the light that enveloped Naiz was harmless.

Naiz looked down at himself, surprised that he hadn’t been frozen. Even as he stared, Vandre unleashed another roar. Looking up, Naiz saw a wall of ice now separated him from the Chimeras and the general.

Vandre’s dragon form certainly was beautiful, but seconds after he’d transformed, deep gashes started appearing in his scales. His eyes were bloodshot, and it looked like he was desperately straining against something. Judging by what Rasul had said earlier,forcing a transformation while he was still sealed was causing Vandre to take continual damage. Zero Vol 3 p234

Indeed, the true reason Oscar was so obsessed with getting his weapons perfect was related to Vandre. Vandre’s mastery of martial arts let him use all sorts of weapons, and he usually used his ice magic to create whatever he needed in the moment. That versatility was part of why his fighting style was so deadly. Oscar had figured if Vandre was using weapons anyway, it’d make more sense for him to use his artifacts rather than ice weapons. But Vandre found it easier to use the magic he’d practiced for decades to just make whatever he imagined in his head rather than use Oscar’s Treasure Trove to pull out the exact kind of weapon he needed, so he’d given up on using any of Oscar’s artifacts. The Behemoth smashed into the ground, pulverizing the spot Captain Meld had been standingon not even a second before. The shockwave and rubble were blown away by the wind wall, keeping Meld unharmed. With how imprecise the Behemoth’s attacks were, even a weak spell was enough to help avoid indirect damage. But if Meld had been forced to defend Kouki and the others he would have been utterly crushed. Vol 1 p99

Protection from Light

“I won’t let you! Cloudburst!” Fortunately, Tio managed to buy the time Yue needed. Cloudburst was an intermediate-rank wind spell. It created a compressed wall of air, which Tio used to hold back the deadly light. The wall of wind bent inward as the light hit it. Vol 5 p100

Limited Sand manipulation:

Wind Blades was a beginner level wind spell, but the amount of mana Yue and Tio had poured into theirs had given them the force of intermediate spells. On top of that, they had utilized the sandstorm’s winds in different ways to further increase its force. Skilled magicians didn’t just have vast amounts of mana, they also knew how to utilize their environment and pick the best spell for the situation. While it sounded simple, it was easier said than done. Yue and Tio had both spent years practicing these skills. Vol 5 p64

Earth:

Earth manipulation, Weapon creation, Barrier creation and possible Transmutation:

He had, in fact, tried to attack a monster by transmuting a spike to stab it from underneath before, but it hadn’t even had enough power to penetrate its hide. That was, after all, something more in the domain of earth magic and not transmutation. In the end, it was still a skill used for mineral processing and production, so it would be impossible for a production skill to have any real power. Which was why trapping them was the best he could do with it. Vol 1 p145

Myriad spiked cones slammed into the walls, aiming for Hajime, but his barriers kept them atbay. Each wall was only able to withstand a single attack, but he transmuted a new one after each broke.

The scope, strength, and offensive power of the scorpion’s earth manipulation were far above Hajime’s, but his transmutation speed was far faster. The range of his transmutation ability had stopped growing at three meters, so he assumed it had reached its peak. Also, he still couldn’t fling spikes or do anything purely offensive with the skill, but when it came to defense, there was none better. Vol 1 p227

“Hmm, deserts and I really don’t get along.” Miledi cast a combination of earth and wind magic to summon a blade of sand, which cut through the scorpions. The five of them screeched again as they died. Zero Vol 1 p214

Death Manipulation is the ability to directly induce death in beings, objects or even concepts via supernatural means. This can manifest as the inexplicable death of an individual, the direct cessation of biological functions, dispersal of life force and more, being able to affect anything from plant and animal life to possibly even abstract forces and concepts.

It is important to note that just causing death via other abilities or indirect means (such as soul destruction, physical damage, deconstruction etc.) in itself does not qualify for Death Manipulation unless it is specified or portrayed to be a direct inducement of death in its targets with these being aftereffects of that.

I think this is moreso indirect induce of death via exhaustion due to weakness and lack of mana. Iirc the only reason he would've died is specifically because he was already in a weakened and exhausted stated. Therefore I don't believe that draining of mana would normally kill you.
