(ANSWERED) What's the difference between Statistics Reduction and Status Effects?

I had this debate a while ago and I noticed a contradiction regarding this power. If you were to physically slow an opponent down with the power, they would go slower on everything, though technically there are additional status effects to stat reduction like having your muscles slowed down, digestive tract and other organ systems slowed, etc. That could translate into damage or other symptoms if any of the vital organs are damaged [another potential status effect]. That's a main thing I'm confused on.

The debate centered on depressants, which slows the body down... while also giving status effects. Albeit I did brush this off at first since poisons also slow a person down in a sense.

So what's the difference between Status effects and Stat reduction? And an even harder question, if an item no only slows an entity down, but gives status effects related to being slowed down, do we list the item's power as Stat Reduction, Status effects, or both?

Ig this can answer your question.
The effects of Statistics Reduction are entirely restricted to reducing the raw stats of one's opponent. The ability to eliminate the special powers of one's opponent should be listed under Power Nullification. Adding additional inhibiting effects, such as poison or paralysis, should be listed under Status Effect Inducement.

Depends on contexts, but gives status effects, this seems Status Effect Inducement.

I saw the distinction and realized the vague boundary. Thank you for the answer!
Pokemon also kind of explains it. Tail Whip, Screech, and other stat reducing moves reduce the stats of the opposing Pokemon, while status effects like burn, poison, and paralysis from moves inflict status effects.
