Many people believe that the androids of the present are stronger than the androids from the future, but this is absolutely wrong.

To begin with, the future androids never used more than half of their power, as confirmed by Number 17. With that amount of power, they were able to kill Gohan. Later, Bulma tells Trunks , "I don't think there's much of a difference between you and the Gohan from back then." However, after the androids give him a beating, Trunks responds, "You were right, mom. There's still a huge difference in power between the androids and me. I survived by pure luck."

Some might argue that Trunks mentions that the Androids from the present are stronger than those from his time, but this is because he never saw them using their full power, and the "even" fight he had with them was because they were just playing with him.

He didn't know their full power and couldn't sense their ki, It's not like he had much useful information to estimate his power because he never felt more than half of it.

Putting aside the fact that Future 17 and 18 don’t even have profiles, and the fact that we already acknowledge that they were using less than half of their full power - see Future Gohan’s profile and the AP blog, where that’s mentioned… what part of this contradicts the notion that the present androids are superior?

Literally all the OP does is restate things we already know - that Future 17 and 18 are much stronger than Future Gohan and Future Trunks and used less than 50% power against them - but nowhere does it show how that contradicts the present androids being stronger than their future counterparts.

I disagree with the thread. It’s stated in both the manga and databooks that Present 17 and 18 are stronger than their future counterparts, and the OP has shown nothing to disprove that.

Yeah, the ones from the main timeline were outright stated to be stronger than the ones from Future Trunks' bleak timelines. A main highlight was 17 knocked him out with a single punch despite him being somewhat evenly matched with the Future 17 and 18 counterparts.
