No, you are not understanding, she can win if the beam hits thanos. But thanos can dodge the beam and mind hax her with a thought. So, she does have a valid wincon, it is just not fast enough.
Any way this is not going anywhere. We need more input from other people.

She will never get to shoot the beam because Thanos thinks once at the absolute beginning and end of story

For a wincon to be valid, it must lead to a scenario where the character reasonably wins, hence the term wincon, win condition.

But she literally cannot win, because anything she does isn't fast enough to overcome thought-based attacks.
