an scp author told us were wrong

Like, all of these are leading questions. They can't be used.

Also source material>Word of God.

This is less of an actual Q&A but him addressing stuff they frequently get asked and what he see as misconceptions. I do agree that it shouldn't really be used though and as from the page alone it seems he has several misconceptions about the tiering system and how it works.

and also authors "powerscaling" their own work is obviously unusable lol

While tiering shouldn't be used (probably), some insights here can be, like the limits of 3812, the dualistic nature of Universe Prime, and the fact that the authors don't like power scaling as much as the next guy.

DaReaperMan's point is sort of the crux of the issue. These sort of questions do not arise naturally out of genuine curiosity about the work, but either really stupid people trying to wank the verse or people who know our standards but dislike our SCP ratings trying to cause trouble.

This is no different from the old Godzilla in Hell twitter situation, where people trying to wank the verse asked the author on twitter either using vsbw terminology outright or very leading questions. That whole incident was not only strictly disallowed by the site-wide rules, but resulted in people being banned. Not only would that apply to this SCP situation, but there are also verse-specific rules for it that this violates by its mere existence, and thus we are obligated to ignore every single part of this.

This is, of course, also not even mentioning how most of these responses either make zero sense or are some full-on Stan Lee "powerscaling is fake because I am the writer" shit. Anyone who even thinks we should use this is flatly incorrect on every conceivable level, and anyone who comes out as related to these questions will very likely get banned.

I'll just second HI3's opinion, and add how even if those statements were less nonsensical (They have a lot of issues) the actual content would be what we use over this questionable WoGs
