Alex Mercer vs Venom

If Venom can lose to the likes of Spiderman (being his arch-nemesis basically) there's no reason to assume that Venom taking blows from the likes of the Hulk isn't an inconsistency or outlier.
 
So what if Venom is 'immune' to electricity? Alex don't need that. Venom did take blows from Hulk but, shouldn't he be regenerating at that point? Plus, Hulk wasn't at his fullest potential since this was like in the 1980s. Venom did lift a tank but, Alex could flip a tank with ease and just one hand, even without the 5 evolveds' biomass. Venom may have taken a bunch of grenades but, Alex was continuously shot at by the Military soldiers' FGM-148 Javelins, infrared homing rocket launchers that uses anti-tank missiles. He even survived a point blank 5x hiroshima nuke to a point he's almost dead.

Plus, isn't Venom able to transform into goop? Even with a punch from the Hulk, the human skull wouldn't be shattered thanks to being a goop, something Alex can consume as biomass. Even Thunderbolt tried not to kill Venom(Anti-Venom or whatever symbiote it is). Venom did threw a car to a far sie but, Alex threw a large Military vehicle beyond at least a city block and even a single human to blow up a brand new car. Even though he's immune to penance stare, Alex can just consume him, trapping him in the web of Intrigue. Hell, Alex even one shot a helicopter with just the whipfist grab and one shot tanks with his blade and hammerfists. Sure, Venom did defeat carnage but, Alex went through worst such as Elizabeth Greene, the mother and origin of the Infected, Supreme hunters that stomped the military and even consumed two leader hunters that adapt to his methods. Even a Goliath that literally stomps the military with its hammer. And he became the new leader of the Infected, fooled Blackwatch and Gentek with his evolveds.
 
And how old is that comic? Hulk got those feats in World War Hulk, the comic when he became World Breaker and the comic that ISN'T from the 1980s, which is when Hulk was still at his prime, being only able to destroy tanks and buildings with his fullest strength and greatest rage yet. Like I said, Thunderbolt tried to hold back and NOT kill that type of Venom.
 
And of course, like so many other people said, if Venom have such durability, how is he so vulnerable to attack that are less than a city block level? How is he able to be beaten by Spiderman, who you said that Alex is around that level?
