Adding tabs to profiles and topics?

I am not going to edit anything, don't worry. Just wanted to ask what's the code to add different tabs to divide part of a profile in different sections (and if said code can be used in threads). For example, how Yuuki Terumi has his abilities divided between base and Susanoo forms.

I managed to find the format and use it to successfully make a tabbed diagram, but as soon as I refresh the page the format is lost and the text is left as a messy wall. Why does that happen?

Sure, here's the issue:

Everything goes fine until I post it, but if I refresh or I leave the page and come back the format of the tabs is lost.
EDIT: Sorry for the lousy format. As you can tell, I am pretty bad at this.
