Reality warping, Causality, and Soul manipulation destroys Adam. Griffith is more experienced and intelligent compare to Adam, therefore Adam can't "teach" him anything. Not to mention, Griffith is acausal and resides on the astral plane, meaning Adam possibly can't harm him.
