No, the soul is not abstract enough to be an AE1 type, instead it is Astral Projection or Incorporeal, unless the verses indicate otherwise.

Souls are abstract things. But that doesn't grant you Type 1 AE. It's just Incorporeality.
Simply, What makes the difference between Abstract Existence Type 1 and Incorporeality is that Abstract Existence means that you have extra features like regeneration and immortality etc. due to the abstractness that you embody, while Incorporeality means that you are in a state that cannot be interacted with through physical means simply because you are abstract.
Also, every Abstract Existence Type 1 is Incorporeal, but not every Incorporeal is Type 1 Abstract E.
