About things disappearing after their evil creators' defeats

Hello; according to this article , things created by antagonists may disappear after the latter's defeats, not only by popping out of existence, but also by exploding.

So, my question is, in which instances in fiction do such things actually make an explosion instead of just popping out of existence…

And by explosio I mean a release of energy with burning gases, not one with a flash.
