About Post-Rose Meruem's poison in VS Threads

I am surprised at why no one even made this before.

In short, this is to make the option of being able to remove or not the poison from Meruem in his Post-Rose key a thing for his match-ups.

Let's see again about what is said poison.

In Chapter 311 it was explained that is nothing more than a gas released from the Poor Man's Rose (which is a bomb) which poisons the survivors of the bomb, and the poison is contagious, generating a pretty big domino effect as even those who had nothing to do with the bomb would get poisoned too.

How did Meruem got this thing? Simple, from being hit from the bomb.

Chapter 298

As we can see in Chapter 299 he got reduced in a pretty bad shape. Then his goons decided to give him their cells to heal him up.

As even confirmed later in Chapter 301

Basically, Meruem got reduced from this near-death state from only the power of the bomb, and never the poison. Heck, Youpi, who was in the place of the explosion died quite later on in Chapter 310

And then yadda yadda anyone else Pouf, Meruem and Komugi all died off later as even said from Palm that Meruem died hours after getting the poison.

My idea is, given that the Poison is not truly part of Meruem's innate set of abilities and is just a Poison which is slowly corrupting him until he dies, as he got that inflicted from a bomb, when making a VS Thread, the OP can decide whenever or not to remove Meruem's poison from him, in order to make things fair for Meruem and not make him ultimately succumb, because a lot of matchups involving this character quite of make him automatically lose due to this handicap he has.

I am aware that "the rules" can be brought up against this idea, but let's read it carefully again

It is not fine to restrict abilities in a versus matchup, implicitly or expressly. Matches that are arranged this way should not be added to the character profiles, as they don't involve their full potential, and are only intended for casual entertainment. An exception would be if the restricted ability/technique has a separate tier from the main one, and is one the character can consciously restrict themselves from using. In this case, the match can be added. The match can also be added if Optional Equipments such as optional power-ups and items are restricted, or if the ability being restricted is indexed after a "Likely" or "Possibly" conditional.

Issue is that the poison is nothing about Meruem's potential here. As even implied from his profile, his potential comes from having consumed the cells of Youpi and Pouf, the poison is literally a non-factor in this evolution of his, and only limits his potential if anything.

His evolution would have happened even if the bomb was not poisonous, as the main reason of why he was reduced to such a state before the evolution was only the power and nothing else.

Making an exception for Meruem about whenever or not allowing him having the poison on his body would not break the matchup rules, as it's more removing a weight inflicted on him than removing a power which makes up his arsenal. It's not even something he can control, is basically like a disease he's not even aware of which ultimately defeated him and the other major Chimera Ants.

Disagree, it's a weakness to his Post-Rose self and should be listed and relevant in VS threads, removing it would be the unfair exception, not keeping it.

How is that unfair exactly? Because it's not even a power he has from himself. It's only a side-effect of the bomb, not a power he has.

Is true that is a weakness, but this weakness is not even part of his biology.

Because you're factually removing a canonical weakness that a character has just to make him stronger in VS threads...

Pretty much, lost interest in this pretty quickly but if you want to keep discuss, then let's lol.
