He is, but we would only include Derleth's work Lovecraft "canonized" while he was alive, not stuff Derleth added after Lovecraft's death, hence why "Elder Gods" aren't actually a specific thing, in the original Mythos.

Demonbaneverse didn't only seal Azathoth, God of Destruction Demonbane oneshot and destroys Azathoth and all the Great Old Ones, all the Outer Gods (including all avatars of Nyarlathotep and Yog-Sothoth and Shub-Niggurath), the solar system, the galaxy, other galaxies, and then the entire universe, and lets off a metallic warcry, that might also be a cry of lamentation, in the midst of the void where even time has ceased to exist.

That's not how anything works. It's like saying Nyaruko is the exact same as Mythos Nyarlathotep. Not to mention the differences between them, or the fact that a large number of mythos characters don't exist in the DMBverse.

The Demonbane Azathoth had it's dream self sealed in the Shining Trapezahedron, and it's still what powers Elder God Demonbane to be as powerful as it is.

Both are Tier 0 for the same reason and for being practically the same character.

The only difference is that one of them has a schoolgirl avatar, making him the superior character. (jk)
