A question about Striking Strength vs Lifting Strength

Can lifting strength be used to stop a punch? And if so, how does one calculate it? For example, a man who can lift a mountain with one hand gets attacked by a guy who can destroy a car with a single punch. The lifting guy tries to catch the punch with his hand

No, lifting strength cannot be used to stop a punch. The reason being, lifting happens over a specific period of time and striking happens almost instantly. You need equal striking strength if you want to block someone's punch. With lifting strength, you can push away your opponent tho.

You can read this article if you want in-depth explanation.

Thank you, I already got my answer from Narutoforums. Apparently, it takes a specific energy to lift a mountain, which is more than the energy needed to destroy a car, so a really strong person can block punches from a striking-focused person
