Shockwaves are formed when a body moves faster than 343 m/s, creating overpressure which is able to make objects around it move.

So, is it possible for a character to just punch in the air and stop a centimeter before a person and make that person's hair fly without any kind of physical contact?

I tried to do it though. I am pretty sure it's above human, but shockwave or not I don't know. And the hair was sent an afar (it is written that it was made dancing), even making the person who was going to get punched shocked. I am pretty sure dancing should refer to a continuous movement.

Yes, but I am talking about a different verse tbh. The character has no supernatural abilities for context.
