Before I start making profiles for this verse I'd like to take care of this first. Here's a list of all the abilities that the playable characters of the Dragon Marked For Death verse have in common:
Dragonblood Pact
Contents
Summary
The Dragonblood Clan are the descendants of a group of humans who made a blood contract with the Astral Dragon Atruum, . Because of this all of their members possess a mark somewhere in their body known as a Dragon Scar. With that said, only those who bear the mark and forge a pact with Atruum(Empress/Princess, Warrior, Witch, Shinobi, Bandit) or those who hold the position of the Clan's Oracle, can wield the Dragon's power.
Innate
The following abilities are inherent to all Dragonblood characters in the game
- Superhuman Physical Characteristics (The Astral Dragon's blood provides great strength and magical power beyond those of normal humans)[1]
- Accelerated Development (Leveling, Others; Physical Statistics - Dragonbloods can grow stronger by absorbing the souls of those that they kill.)[2]
- Multiple Selves (Type 3: Atruum manifests himself from the characters Dragon Scars.) [3]
- Blessed (All Dragon Skills deal holy damage, and is increased through the Piety stat.)[4]
Elemental Attributes and Affinities
There are 5 separate types of Elements in the verse.[5]
They include Fire(火), Ice(Water-水), Poison(Earth-土), Wind(Wood-木), Lightning(Metal-金). When it comes to Magic Damage each element is strong against one and weak to another.
- Fire is weak to Ice(Water) and strong against Lightning(Metal)
- Ice(Water) is weak to Poison(Earth) and strong against Fire
- Poison(Earth) is weak tp Wind(Wood) and strong against Ice(Water)
- Wind(Wood) is weak to Lightning(Metal) and strong against Poison(Earth)
- Lightning(Metal) is weak to Fire and strong against Wind(Wood)
On the other hand Holy Damage inflicted by Dragon skills is instead affected by the species of the monster that it's hitting.
Elemental Manipulation
The characters' pact with Atruum also allows them to wield 1 of the elements to some extent, with the exception of Witch and Bandit whos abilities allow them to wield all of them. Everyone has a default element that they start with, and they can freely change it in Atruum's Den.
- Status Effect Inducement (All elements have their own associated status effect.)[6]
- Fire Manipulation (Empress' default element. Inflicts the Burn status.)
- Damage Boost (Those who are inflicted with the Burn status receive 1.5x more damage from attacks for 30 seconds.)
- Ice Manipulation (Warrior's default element. Inflicts the Frostbite status)
- Statistics Reduction (Those inflicted with Frostbite have their movement speed and agility reduced for 8-20 seconds)
- Poison Manipulation (Witch and Shinobi's default element. Inflicts the Poison status, which inflicts damage over time for 20-40 seconds)
- Air Manipulation (Oracle's default contract. Inflicts the Confusion status)
- Mind Manipulation (Those inflicted with the Confusion status attack all nearby enemies for 20 seconds)
- Electricity Manipulation (Bandit's default element. Inflicts the Paralysis status.)
- Paralysis Inducement (Those afflicted with the Paralysis status will be unable to move for 3-8 seconds)
- Damage Boost (Those who are inflicted with the Burn status receive 1.5x more damage from attacks for 30 seconds.)
- Statistics Reduction (Those inflicted with Frostbite have their movement speed and agility reduced for 8-20 seconds)
- Mind Manipulation (Those inflicted with the Confusion status attack all nearby enemies for 20 seconds)
- Paralysis Inducement (Those afflicted with the Paralysis status will be unable to move for 3-8 seconds)
Resistances
All Dragonblood characters have the following resistances:[7]
- Magic
- Status Effect Inducement
- Holy Manipulation
- Curse Manipulation (All Dragonblood characters are unaffected by the Lycanthrope's curse)
- Extreme Heat and Cold (Can withstand the cold temperatures of the Tapor Snow Mountains, and the magma from the Labyrinth of Fire.)
- Possibly Acid Manipulation (Can withstand the acids of Cthulu's body.)
Dragon Sphere
This is an optional item that all playable Dragonblood characters can access when the boss being fought is at low health. Aside from dealing damage to all enemies this also has a few beneficial effects:[1]- Restoration (Fully restores one's health and energy)
