If a character or characters bodies make up reality and that reality has 4th dimensional space. Would they be 4D beings or 5D via adding one temporal dimension?

If by 4D Space you mean space outside the space-times, that depends on if its finite or infinite in cosmoIogy. In the first case, its 4D, in the second case, its 5D
