1 Year on The Wiki

I was planning to make this my 6,000th Post but there has been surprisingly little to do on the wiki recently, so I wasn’t able to manage that

Today is the 15th December, which means I have been on the wiki for 365 days! (Active for less since I only started actually doing stuff in January but ah well).

There’s a few things I wanted to talk about, I also wanted to thank some people, and also open up an AMA for funsies even though I doubt anyone has interest in the latter.

So, 1 year on the wiki, huh? Honestly feels like I’ve been doing this a hell of a lot longer than that…


In that time, I’ve:

- Become the second biggest supporter of one of the most rapidly changing verses the wiki saw this year, and one of the most unique in its history.

- Began the process of revising Genshin Impact

- Changed the Tiering System through a Staff Discussion Thread

- Met a wealth of genuinely fun people to be around from all over the world though the internet, which is a bit of a first

- Honed my debating skills

And so much more, it’s been an unforgettable journey so far.

I should probably thank some people, huh:

@azontr for being probably the most genuinely fun dude I’ve met on the wiki

@Adem_Warlock69 for being a sound, reasonable and excellent debater that has made my time here more enjoyable, as well as great craic

@Armorchompy, @KLOL506, @Aguywhodoesthings, @CuteAnimeNekoGirl99 and @Kachon123 for helping so much with calculations (I am so sorry if I have forgotten anyone)

@DemonicDude for orchestrating so many banger tournaments, those are the most fun I’ve had on the wiki fr

And of course @RandomGuy2345, for working his ass off to help the WWE verse, and being really solid to me personally


So that’s all I’ve got to say, and I’ll open the floor to questions! Ask me about my aspirations on the wiki, my memorable moments, or very light questions about my personal life (And I mean light - I like my privacy)

“What is your proudest moment on the wiki?”

I’ve had a hell of a lot of awesome moments on the wiki. Winning my first tournament with Random, helping get massive upgrades for WWE, and even changing the tiering system itself. That said, my proudest achievement is oddly enough a Round 2 Finish in a tournament, technically. It’s winning Finn Vs Chisato. The odds were immensely stacked against me, and the satisfaction I got from what felt like a defining moment for Finn and the verse Vs Match wise was plentiful. Cringe, I know, but it’s my honest answer.


What’s next?

Genshin Revisions for sure, I want to finish those so bad, and I’m refusing to do any major CRTs elsewhere until I get that thread posted. It will likely be some time before I manage to stop procrastinating anyways, but this is a hobby lmao. I also have a big blog in my head for WWE, and also wanna somewhat split the promotions, though I know that last one’s gonna be controversial.


What thread on the wiki was your favourite?

Finn Vs Chisato was my crowning achievement, but nothing will ever compare to the sheer adrenaline Jericho Vs Tsukasa gave me, that shit was madness lmao


Any Vs Match aspirations?

Get Finn a more fleshed out notable matches section, especially in his base form, and find a Mid-Hax 8-B Tournament to enter The Witch into (Seriously people, make one rq 😭)


What’s the ultimate goal?

I don’t really have one, but in the long term I want to get WWE to 9-A, possibly upgrade the cosmology to 2-A and see where that takes the verse, and I’ve always held a bit of interest in becoming a Thread Mod, though I don’t think I’m quite ready for it yet


Did you ever consider quitting?

At some point I was stressed and contemplated asking for a 2 week ban, but that was about the height of it. I genuinely love this place, as controversial of an opinion as that ironically seems to be-

Aye congratz man, as the veteran of this wiki it's nice to see the smaller user became such of famous one here in this year (beside Pika and Random, there's Dread and Noneless that i can count)

Just an advice, take a break whenever you can, that's what i always do even if it's short and even if it's not because of the stress
I even asked a ban just so i can enjoy my break

It’s ALWAYS when people turn to me and start presuming stuff about WWE like “They’re just actors” or “How is it martial arts? It’s choreographed”. Nothing drives my head in more than random people turning to me in a Vs Debate and telling me they know the WWE verse better than me when they’ve never heard of the word Kayfabe in their life. The most stressful example of that was discussion around Finn’s hax in Finn Vs Chisato. It was actually understandable scrutiny compared to the other examples in hindsight, but the stakes were high and I had heard the same stuff too many times to keep my cool 100%
